This Privacy Policy describes how Iceland Tourist ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
We record which features are used so we can improve the app. This is our own system running on our own database — we do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK or any other third-party tracker, and no data is sent to advertisers.

If you are not signed in, analytics records contain no information that identifies you. If you are signed in, records are linked to your account identifier — and that link is removed permanently when you delete your account.
Search terms are recorded because they tell us which places travellers look for that we don't yet have. Please don't type personal information into the search box.
We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not sell it. Your data is stored securely with our service provider (Supabase) which processes it on our behalf.
The app shows listings from partner businesses. When you tap one, we record that a tap happened so we can report activity to the partner. If you are signed in, that record includes your account identifier; partners see totals, never individual users or their identities.
The app displays public data from the following sources. Opening these features sends a request to our servers, not to the providers directly — none of them receive your identity or location.
When you upload a photo through the app:
We reserve the right to remove any photo that we believe is inappropriate, infringes copyright, violates privacy, or otherwise breaches these terms.
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: open the Profile tab and choose "Delete account". This removes your profile, stamps, saved places, trips and uploaded photos immediately and permanently. It cannot be undone.
Analytics records are not deleted, but the link to your account is permanently removed, leaving no information that identifies you.
If you cannot access the app, you may also request deletion by emailing us at the address below, and we will complete it within 7 days.
This app is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
